Sweet Bacon Peas

Sewright-Blog by Ruth Yoder

Need a new twist on tonight's vegetable?  This recipe is soo good. I could've just had this for dinner.  I also have a new recipe for lasagna that I'll be posting soon.

Ingredients:
2 Slices Bacon, chopped
2 Tbsp. Chopped onion
1 Garlic clove, minced
8 Oz Bag of Frozen Peas
2 Tsp. Dark Brown Sugar
1 Tbsp. Butter
Salt and pepper

Directions:
Cook Bacon until crisp.  Drain on paper towels.  Leave bacon fat in pan up to 1 tbsp. Add onion and garlic to pan, and cook  until softened.  Stir in peas and sugar.  Cover and cook about 4 minutes.  Turn off heat, add butter, bacon, salt and pepper.

*Feel free to come to my page and comment! Coming soon, I'll be doing a giveaway for one lucky person who does. Hope everyone is doing well. My family has been sick, but it should be over soon.  Take care!

Biscuits and Gravy

Not bad for feeding my little one apples at the same time.
FAMILY-SIZE RECIPE:
(Makes 9 biscuits)
2 1/4 cups Original Bisquick mix
2/3 cup milk

Preheat oven to 450 degrees F. Stir ingredients together until soft dough forms. Place on surface generously sprinkled with Bisquick mix.

Knead 10 times. Roll 1/2-inch thick. Cut with 2 1/2-inch cutter. I used a heart shaped one...ok I just got it, but isn't it cute?

Place on ungreased cookie sheet.

TO BAKE:
Bake 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Is it time for breakfast yet?

How to Boil an Egg

All these years, I've boiled eggs the same way.  But, I've just learned a money saving way to get the same results.  Cover eggs with an inch of water.  Toss in some salt, and get to a boil. Once the water is boiling, cover, and shut the stove off. Set the timer for 10 minutes. Run eggs under cold water to cool.
