Wedding Gift... Personalized Decorations!

My friend Missy, pictured here, is painting the R that she traced from the Wooden Name she is making.  Our Friends Mandy and Matt just got married last Saturday. congrats!

Here's the bag.  Turned out so cute~!

Next we painted the edges of the letters with acrylic black paint.
Then we Mod Podged the Scrapbook paper, that we cut out, to the letters. ....

I had a little time, so I did these two letters as well.  I liked them both!

Close up of the red texture.
I love how this turned out. It matches their living room. The black is a velour and the red has a nice design to it. Not overbearing. Awesome! Missy packed it in her bag with the personalized R on it.
Sweet!

Congrats Matt and Mandy Reynolds on your Marriage!  As soon as the pictures are up of their wedding on Amy and Jeremiah Photography, I'll let you know!

Embellished Shower Curtain

Finished.
I've had this plain Target Green shower curtain since 2008...I always felt like it needed something.
I added a white ruffle and pinned.
And another layer of cream ruffle.

Claire...bored with walking on the curtain.
Finally adding a flowery ruffle ...

and sewed it up, which took forever! Or at least it felt like it.

I winged this, so I think it turned out pretty well.

Measuring and drawing straight lines to pin too, would be ideal...I just didn't have the time!

Yoder Peanut Butter Pie

I recently saw a show from Sarasota, Fl with a restaurant called Yoder Kitchen, I believe. They showed homemade Peanut Butter Pie. Yum. My husband loves Peanut butter pie, but it needs to be smooth. I came up with this recipe from looking at some others.

Anyone who knows our family, knows that my husband was Amish until he was around 5 years old.  What a cool history he has.

Ingredients:
1 (8 inch) baked pie crust
1 c. powdered sugar
1/2 c. peanut butter
1 box instant vanilla pudding
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip or...
make your own like I did. Dream Whip!

Directions:
Mix powdered sugar and 1/2 cup peanut butter until crumbly. Pour 3/4 of crumbs on pie crust, bottom and sides. Mix pudding as directed and pour on pie crust. Let set up. Spread 8 ounce Cool Whip on top and sprinkle with the rest of the crumbs. Cool well and serve.

Taste awesome with a cup of coffee!
