Hot Wheels Car Carrying Case

I found a pattern online for a this cute car case.
I  used jean, felt and other fabric to make the body of it.  Ribbon to tie it.

If you want to make one, you can find it here.

I think it turned out really cute!  I made one for the little mini dolls my daughter has.  I'll post that one soon.

I hope you all had a great Christmas!  What did you do?

Embellished T- Shirt with Cut Fabric Flowers

I was already wearing this shirt today, and I couldn't think of any jewelry I had to wear to make it look better.
I stopped at Joann's and got a 1/4 yard of fabric.
I cut out a couple flowers.

Got them situated and pinned and sewed with a baste stitch around all of it.  Then I went back with a zigzag stitch for the edges.  I'm hoping it frays a little after washing for a more vintage look.
 Finished!

What do you think??  Come by and leave me a comment!

Embellished T- Shirt Super Fast!

I took a walk through Joann's and found this absolutely matching flower to go with my t shirt.

I just pinned and sewed it on.

It really churched it up, as they say. I'm sure I could make one of these myself, but I just haven't put the time in.  Clean the bathroom?...or Change her diaper...oh! or I could make this awesome bow.  In my case, I  did the first two...
Hope everyone has had a good week thus far.  I've been keeping myself busy, and haven't gotten to the computer much.  Also, blogger lost some of my saved posts and you may have had an error this last weekend if you tried to get to a blogger page.  Their whole site was down.

For the little Ones...Embellished Baby Dress / Refinished Stools

I found these fabric flower buttons recently and just had to get them!
This dress has always been a bit plain.
Baby Girl trying to get involved in putting on this button.  Two minutes later, this dress is way cuter!

It has been a very busy week. How about you?
My husband refinished these stools.  They were broken and plain...unfinished looking wood. He used Antique White Milk paint on the legs, then sanded some off for the Antique effect.
He glued the seats back together, and put on a Walnut Danish Oil.  Turned out very nice! I wish I had taken the before picture so I could've shown you.
I hope everyone has a great weekend, and the weather warms up again...I wish!

Stethoscope Covers

My friend Vicki, a Nurse, introduced me to the need for Stethoscope covers.  It keeps the oils from breaking down the casing, and then having to replacing that plastic tubing.

I wish I was a nurse now, just so I could have a whole bunch of these fabric covers!  Guess I would need a lot of schooling for that!
Vicki is an Alumni from Purdue University, so this one is perfect!

If you want a cover for you or your nurse friend, you can contact me by email at:  Italianbistro15@gmail.com
or visit my Etsy shop.

Wall Hangings

One I had...Trying to keep this one up a little longer! So cute.
Thanks for all your dinner ideas.  I look forward to the recipes!
I'm doing a bunch of cleaning today, as it is at least -2F today. Yikes!
These are from Faith, Gracias!

I have so many ideas for St Patrick's Day decor.  These above are my inspiration.   I really love stuff that can hang on our pegs in the living room and hallway.  It's an addiction I think!
I also really love burlap and linen right now.
vintageweave.com
I think that will be the material I will use.  Now, to find some frames to use.  Any suggestions?

Decor is one of my favorite things. I love wall hangings and table tops.

Anytime I would visit my Sister's house, I would feel so at home. I figured it out...she has lots of cute decor!

30 Minute Elastic Waist Skirt

Enough fabric to go around you one and 1/2 times, and some 2 inch elastic.
Sew fabric rights sides together. Sew Elastic to your waist size. Then pin in equal sections.  As you sew, stretch the material and elastic till it is straight and sew around.
Viola! Add a hem, and your done!
