Creamed Spinach

This creamed spinach is so tasty and comforting.  I hope you'll try it.

8 oz of frozen spinach
2 Tbps Parmesan cheese
2 Tbps Flour
1 Cup Milk
2 Tbsp butter
Salt
pepper
1/2 tsp Garlic powder
1/3 Cup Mozzarella Cheese

Defrost spinach and squeeze out as much water as you can.  Heat a pan and add butter to melt.  Once melted add the flour and stir to mix.  Slowly add milk with a whisk watching for lumps.  Once smooth, add spinach, Parmesan cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder.  Warm up over medium heat.  Add mozzarella cheese, stirring to melt.  Serve.

This dish is always welcomed by me and is great for lunch the next day.  I like to add a little Parmesan cheese to the top too.

How to fix a skirt with a broken zipper, without a zipper

Clothes with broken zippers. Annoying. I've had this skirt for over two years.  I wore it once and the zipper wouldn't go back down...then I broke it.   Should I rip out this one, and put in a normal one instead of an invisible?  I would have to rip out a lot of seams just to get into it enough to put it in.

Less is more, and I had buttons that matched. So no $ required,  I set out to fix it this way.
I sewed a zigzag stitch into a rectangle that would fit my buttons.  I then used scissors and a seam ripper to open up the new holes.
I sewed my buttons on.  Worked like a charm.  You really only see one button when I'm wearing it, because of the sash.
Ready to Wear
I feel like I got something new and that ALWAYS feels good.

Best Pork Chops and Luvs Coupons

I have never had much luck with pork chops.  Usually it turns out all dried out.  Sad.  Especially when you work so hard to make a good meal.  Since my Stuffed Pork Chops, I've grown to like them again.  This recipe uses some of the same ideas.

Ingredients:
2 Pork Chops, at least 1inch thick
3/4 Cup Water
2 Tbps Brown Sugar
2 Tbsps Salt
2 Tbsp Butter
Olive Oil
Garlic Powder
Pepper

Start by making your brine.  Add Pork Chops to water, brown sugar and salt in a container, and cover. Let sit for at least 4 hrs or over night in your fridge.

Take pork chops out and season with garlic powder and pepper.  Heat olive oil and sear on all sides, about 2-3 mins.

Heat oven to 450 f degrees with your baking pan in there.  Take pork chops from pan and place on preheated pan.  Bake for 20-30 mins, turning once halfway through.  Check for doneness.

Once you take them out, add a little pat of butter over top and cover loosely until ready to serve.

These were amazingly great, and I even got a compliment.  Means you should try it!

I'll be making this for Valentine's Dinner I think.  Are you doing anything special?

Also, for those you who love luvs!  You can sign up for Luvs coupons and possibly win diapers for a year on their site.  Check it out!
