I Really like the chevron pattern. I've been trying to find something to make with it.
I downloaded my pattern from google and traced it onto freezer paper. I cut it out with an Exacto knife, and ironed it onto my material.
I used gray acrylic paint on my fabric, and applied it with a foam brush. I let it dry and then carefully peeled it off so I could do the other pillow.
I placed a cloth over top the fabric and ironed it for a few seconds to make sure the paint stays when I wash it. I sewed them up and viola!
I really like how these turned out, and they really add to my living room.
Here is one of my other painted pillows
I saw it on The Nest and thought I'd make my own. What design would you copy?

Her First Pillow
This is a long time coming...
I embroidered her name at the beginning of the year and had all the squares pinned and ready to sew.
Finally, this past week I sewed it together and layered 6 pieces of batting on the inside. I didn't want it to be too thick and high.
She LOVES it. She uses it in her crib and also uses it as a seat for cartoons.
She took it from me right away, and went on her way.
